Three pillars of
direct market access

A focused platform giving investors direct access to off-market German assets — spanning infrastructure aligned with secular growth trends, private Mittelstand companies, and public equity markets.

I

Real Assets

Infrastructure assets in Germany positioned at the centre of secular growth trends — energy transition, renewables, and hydrogen — targeting long-duration, non-cyclical returns. Co-investors are brought in to participate alongside SBS in each opportunity.

  • 10–20% ownership stake per asset
  • Residual stake syndicated to co-investors globally
  • Focus on greenfield and brownfield infrastructure
  • Tailored exposure for institutional and private investors
II

Direct Investments

Direct investments in German Mittelstand companies, sourced exclusively through proprietary, off-market deal flow. Co-investors are brought in to scale positions and share upside.

  • 25% minority positions up to 100% buyouts
  • Residual stake syndicated to co-investors globally
  • Proprietary origination — no auction processes
  • Bespoke investment sizing for co-investment partners
III

Public Markets

A research-driven long/short equity strategy in German small and mid-cap equities, completing the platform's full-spectrum coverage across private and public German markets.

  • Research-driven, high-conviction approach
  • Asymmetric opportunity identification
  • Strategic fixed income for risk construction
"Access is the differentiator. Our investors reach German assets — real infrastructure, private companies, off-market by nature — that are simply unavailable through any other channel."
Our Approach

Unmatched access.
50 years of experience.

SBS Asset Management combines institutional rigour with entrepreneurial agility. Our team brings together over 50 years of combined experience investing in and originating German assets — offering investors access to opportunities that are not available through public markets or intermediated processes.

  • Exclusive Access — Our investors gain exposure to off-market German real assets and private companies that cannot be accessed through public markets, funds, or intermediated processes.
  • 50 Years of Combined Experience — Three managing directors with deep roots in the German market — across investment banking, private equity, real assets, and capital markets — successfully deploying capital over multiple cycles.
  • Skin in the Game — Significant personal capital committed alongside every investor, aligning incentives across all three strategies.
  • Proprietary Origination — Every opportunity is sourced through long-standing relationships, not auctions or intermediated processes — preserving deal quality and pricing discipline.
